Integration into your risk assessment

All LMRAs carried out are automatically linked to the risk assessment (GBU) in sam®. This allows hazards, assessments and actions to be tracked holistically. The combination of LMRA and GBU ensures an end-to-end occupational health and safety management system (EHS) – digital, safe and efficient.

Why an LMRA is so important in occupational health and safety

Many accidents happen because routine suppresses awareness. With an LMRA (Last Minute Risk Assessment) you activate safety awareness where it counts – directly before the task.

The method promotes mindfulness, strengthens personal responsibility and creates a long-term safety culture. With sam® LMRA, these reflections become an integral part of the working day – digital, traceable and effective.

How sam® LMRA works – digital, mobile, efficient

Situation-specific hazard reflection

You use the sam® EHS app to answer dynamic, changing safety questions that relate to your current activity and environment. This allows you to recognize risks at an early stage and take immediate action if necessary. It only takes a few minutes – and quickly becomes part of your daily routine.

Intelligent support through AI

The integrated artificial intelligence analyzes your answers and supplements them with context-related additional questions if necessary. This results in an even deeper hazard reflection with individual recommendations for action.

Central administration & evaluation

All questions, answers and measures are automatically documented in sam®. You receive a compact evaluation, recognize trends and can derive targeted training or prevention measures.

How does sam® LMRA work?

Two systems – one goal: safety in focus

The Last Minute Risk Assessment (LMRA) supplements the classic risk assessment (GBU) in sam®. While the GBU assesses risks and defines measures in the long term, the LMRA checks in the short term whether the situation on site has changed.

This is how the link works:

  • Hazards from the GBU are automatically transferred to the LMRA.
  • Answers and measures are fed back into the GBU evaluation.
  • Anomalies can be directly converted into measures.

This combination creates a holistic cycle of analysis, reflection and prevention – occupational health and safety is kept dynamic and up-to-date.

How is LMRA linked to the risk assessment?

What is behind the term “Last Minute Risk Assessment”?

An LMRA (Last Minute Risk Assessment) – also known as a last-minute risk analysis or hazard reflection – is a brief safety check immediately before starting work. The aim is to consciously check the work area, the task and the work equipment used once again for possible hazards – in the proverbial “last minute” before something happens.

In contrast to traditional risk assessments, which are planned and documented over the long term, the LMRA is situational, spontaneous and person-related. It complements the occupational health and safety system and ensures that every task is started with full attention.

When is an LMRA useful?

  • Before starting any new or unfamiliar activity
  • In the event of changes to the working environment or work equipment used
  • In case of special weather conditions or time pressure
  • Whenever several people are working at the same time

Practical tip:

With sam® LMRA, this reflection becomes routine: mobile, structured and documented. The system guides you through relevant questions in just a few steps – so you strengthen your safety awareness before every task, every day.

What is an LMRA and when should it be performed?

A tool for all those who bear responsibility

Whether in industry, construction, energy, healthcare or logistics – wherever people work, the LMRA ensures safety. The method is universally applicable and can be integrated into any working environment.

Typical areas of application for LMRA:

  • Manufacturing & Production
  • Maintenance & Service
  • Construction Sites & Field Operations
  • Chemicals & Laboratory
  • Health and social services
