Two new AI training courses now available in sam®

20.06.2025

For more knowledge, security and compliance in dealing with artificial intelligence

How can I impart important and necessary knowledge with AI training? Artificial intelligence (AI) has long since arrived in the world of work. And the EU AI Regulation places very specific requirements on companies. Since February 2, 2025, there has been an obligation to achieve“AI literacy”. This means a basic understanding of what AI is, how it works and how to use it responsibly.

As early as August 2, 2025 , fines of up to €35 million or 7% of annual turnover may be imposed in certain cases. It is therefore all the more important to take action now – with structured, documented AI training courses. The software company secova is now making two new content packages available to all users of its EHS solution system sam® for precisely this purpose.

For continuous sensitization: The modular solution from KI-Wisskom

The training package from KI-Wisskom focuses on the topics of “law, ethics and technology” when using artificial intelligence. The training courses are role-based and therefore geared towards the day-to-day work of the people being trained. This allows you to choose what suits whom: To employees, managers or administrators in companies, associations, universities or research institutions. There are separate learning paths for each group, consisting of four modules. A complete training course therefore consists of four short, 15-minute chapters. The trainees can decide for themselves whether they want to complete the course in one go or proceed chapter by chapter (ideally at intervals of 4-6 weeks). The special feature: The training is not intended as a one-off compulsory training course, but promotes continuous sensitization to the topic of AI. They are therefore designed to be repeated annually. Due to the very dynamic development in the field of AI, continuous adaptation is required here in order to be able to regularly update the employees’ level of knowledge.

  • What is AI – and what isn’t?
  • Opportunities & Risks, basics & Typical tools
  • Obligations arising from the EU AI Regulation
  • 10 rules for the legally compliant use of AI
  • Technical background & Checklists

For the necessary insight: The compact, unique range of solutions from G DATA

The training package from G DATA provides a general overview of the AI jungle. In cooperation with this partner, a compact training course on the safe use of AI in everyday working life is now available. Here, all employees complete the same training, consisting of several chapters including a quiz and final test. This package is perfect for companies looking for a one-off training solution – for example to quickly comply with the EU AI Regulation.

Contents (excerpt):

  • Basics of artificial intelligence
  • Legal framework & EU AI Regulation
  • Application examples in the work context
  • Data protection, copyright, ethical challenges
  • Final test for learning control

The main differences between the two training packages are therefore a) in the target group and b) in didactics. This is because KI-Wisskom’s training courses are aimed specifically at employees, managers, administrations and universities plus research institutions. And there are a total of four training courses per target group, which are held at staggered intervals (ideally 4-6 weeks apart). In contrast, the G DATA AI training package is standardized for all employees. This consists of extensive training and is rolled out once. But one thing is important in any case: both packages meet the requirements of the EU AI Regulation (as it stands today).
