Appeal for donations of € 10,000 for the climate protection project "PV system for Tecklenburger Land Free School" covered 90 percent
Learn more… In order to be able to realize the construction of the PV system, the maximum donation target of 10,000 euros was set. Now that this target has been reached, the district is doubling the amount to a total of 20,000 euros – the PV system can now be realized.
A donation from the Münsterland-based software company secova: The provider of the EHS software solution sam® For professional compliance management, the project was so impressive that he spontaneously donated 90 percent of the total amount (and at the same time ensured that the school project set a new donation record in the district’s climate campaign). “We are delighted to be able to support a local project to improve the climate here,” emphasizes secova CEO Jörg Klaas.
Tecklenburger Land Free School can now realize its plan to install a 35KW photovoltaic system on the flat roof of the school building. Thanks to the funding that has now been secured, the concrete implementation will be pushed ahead vigorously from now until the hoped-for inauguration in spring. In addition to the climate protection reasons, the new photovoltaic system also has the added benefit of reducing the school’s electricity costs, allowing scarce funds to be used for other purposes. “The fact that we can make a contribution to climate protection and save energy costs at the same time is particularly exciting,” says principal Herrmann Stubbe.
The reform pedagogical primary and comprehensive school in Ibbenbüren was founded in 2010 by committed parents and teachers and is a state-recognized alternative school. The focus is on voluntary learning in inter-year groups with an interdisciplinary range of subjects. “Learning, living, appreciating” is the motto of the FSTL. Mutual appreciation – this is also particularly important to secova employees. And getting involved in a good cause is just as important: collecting “donation kilometers” during the annual active month, the Advent calendar and “Christmas video instead of cards”fundraising campaigns at the end of the year are just a few examples…
