
secova is "best employer" in Münsterland, NRW and the ICT sector.
We are ranked first in three categories in the "Great Place to Work" competition.
Three times 1st place as “Best Employer” 2024 – that was the sensational result we achieved as secova in the “Great Place to Work” competition. The research and consulting institute awarded us first place in the categories “Best employer in Münsterland”, “…in NRW” and “…in ICT (Information and Communication Technology)”. All participating companies are assessed on the basis of an independent review of their work culture and an analysis of the anonymized survey of their employees.
We are delighted with the awards! And see this as recognition of the special path that we “Secovians” have developed together and are consistently pursuing together.
The Mayor of Rheine, Dr. Peter Lüttmann, and EWG Managing Director Ingo Niehaus have now personally congratulated us on our success. During their visit to our “headquarters” in the Environ building, we were able to show them what “working at secova” looks like. Among other things, they were positively surprised by the high degree of flexibility in terms of space and time that our working model offers. They learned what a “free flex office lover” is (= flexible in terms of time, works mostly in the office). With almost 100 employees, we have formed various teams within our departments with a very flat hierarchy. Every opinion and every idea counts equally with us, and mutual appreciation is particularly important to us.
Best employer – we owe this triple award above all to the high level of satisfaction of our employees. To this end, we not only provide state-of-the-art, ergonomic workstations for a wide variety of individual and collaborative work. Open and direct communication at all times is a basic requirement for us at secova, as are consistency, the ability to take criticism and honesty. We have all defined these and other values together and they form the guidelines for our collaboration. The survey by Great Place to Work also confirmed how strong the team spirit and sense of unity is at secova: The approval rate in the “team spirit” category was a perfect 100 percent! (By the way: we made a short film about our “Desire for New Work”).
However, it is not only the general conditions, such as a 37-hour week or 33 days of vacation per year, that ensure the day-to-day well-being of the secova team. Numerous other benefits “sweeten” secova life: These include fresh fruit and vegetables, weekly sports and relaxation classes plus a monthly physio visit or the occasional after-work beer. Community activities such as canoe trips, indoor golf or, as a highlight, the annual get-together weekend with a partner are also included. There are also campaigns for social projects such as our active month, the secova “Gaming Legends” or the living Advent calendar, which we organize together to raise funds.
