
A+A 2023: secova with innovative solutions
Premiere for the sam® PPE Manager plus Safety Avatar and numerous ideas for improved occupational safety from the secova lab, plus all functional modules of the EHS solution system sam®
At A+A 2023 – the world’s largest and most important trade fair for occupational health and safety – a total of 2,200 exhibitors presented their products and innovations to around 62,000 interested visitors. Under the motto “Impulses for a better working world”, the focus was particularly on digitalization and sustainability. “How can a digital system help companies to master their numerous tasks and obligations more easily and at the same time demonstrably improve legal security?” – The software specialists at secova provide the right answers and innovative ideas with their EHS solution system sam®. At their stand, they presented all the functional modules of their online software, which helps companies and their employees to work safely and healthily.
The holistic EHS system offers various functional modules on topics such as instruction, risk assessment, qualification as well as hazardous substance, health, incident, maintenance and external company management. The sam® EHS Manager app is available for mobile use, for example directly on site, and with sam®-VR, users can enter a virtual environment “just like in real life” for safe, particularly effective training. Depending on your requirements, you can select the appropriate modules and combine them precisely to create your own solution system. Being able to keep an eye on all tasks and the current status at all times makes day-to-day business much easier for companies. Despite its high functionality, the software itself is very easy to use – as simple as an ATM.
The sam® PSA Manager met with particularly great interest at its premiere. This new function module is directly linked to the sam® risk assessment. Its great advantage: For each hazard to be assigned that requires the use of personal protective equipment, this can now be set directly here. And this is customized and tailored to the individual person. In addition, in conjunction with our cooperation partner UVEX, a catalog can even be added here, from which the appropriate PPE can be ordered directly “from head to toe” if required. A particularly innovative feature of the PSA Manager is that all employees can create their own safety avatar in the system. This then virtually visualizes the personal protective equipment (PPE) required for each individual.
Visualized, immediately understandable and sustainable – for an even safer working environment
In addition to the PPE Manager and the Safety Avatar, there were other innovative ideas “fresh from the secova lab” to experience – for example, the first application examples of “Augmented Reality (AR)” for visualizing risk assessments (overlays of text and image information) as a showcase. In principle, secova gives a lot of thought to the way in which relevant information can actually be communicated and absorbed as effectively and sustainably as possible.
secova Sales Manager Johannes Türk-König also gave a highly acclaimed presentation on this topic at the Trend Forum at the trade fair with the title “Future comprehensible instruction…A target group analysis – Gen Z and millennials”. The changed way in which today’s generations absorb and process information must also be reflected in the world of work – secova is constantly developing new solutions for this. The response at A+A 2023 was correspondingly positive: “Cool”, “Impressive”, “With sam®, safety topics are becoming simpler, more visual, clearer, immediately understandable – bravo!”, “Innovative, top technical implementation and easy to use”.
On all four days of the trade fair, the secova team experienced great interest in its stand – in some cases, “waiting times” for a presentation were even unavoidable. However, the full commitment of the entire trade fair team was praised unreservedly from all sides: “You can feel the unity of the team here from the very first moment, this togetherness, the joy of consulting, the enthusiasm. And it’s all visually colorful, relaxed, uniform, very modern and progressive, eye-catching and refreshingly different!”was just one visitor’s comment.
Further comments on sam® and secova in general were also collected during the trade fair in an interactive LinkedIn donation campaign under the motto “You comment – we donate!”. Each comment was worth 10 euros, and the “donors” could decide for themselves which of four charitable organizations they wanted to donate to. This raised 700 euros, which secova has now doubled, bringing the total donation to 1,400 euros. The overwhelming feedback from the trade fair – both on site and during the fundraising campaign – only strengthens secova’s resolve to continue on its innovative path.
