Sarina beams
Sarina's first impression of secova "was as if I had always worked here - such a personal and warm welcome!"
Sarina always has a beaming smile on her face at secova, which infects us Secovians every day. Our youngest member of the secova team started her training as a media designer (digital + print) in August 2024. However, she started as an intern back in May – and knew immediately: “This is it! I couldn’t have found a more suitable position for me and I’m very happy here. I really enjoy my work and the fun I have with my colleagues. I’m delighted to be able to join in and make a difference here – it’s just great!” Sarina has always been creative and it was clear to her early on “that I wanted to learn something creative as a career.” Studying (interior design) didn’t suit her, however, and during an internship she realized: “Everyday work gives me more structure.” What she particularly likes about her job at secova is “that everyone here trusts us trainees to do a lot so early on. We were able to gain a lot of experience very quickly and have a lot of freedom. But there is always someone on hand to provide direct support if needed. We are a diverse team. I can contribute lots of ideas and see what comes of them – perfect!
Creativity also plays a key role in Sarina’s free time. The Mesum native comes from a musical family; everyone (Sarina, her parents and both siblings) plays an instrument. Sarina discovered the flute for herself and loves the delicate instrument. At an early age, she progressed from children’s gymnastics to competitive gymnastics and then to hip hop dancing – even up to championship level. But at some point, the time commitment was too much for her and she concentrated more on making music, for example in her “big band”. During the coronavirus period, she also discovered walking as a hobby: “It clears my head.” She also manages to do this by occasionally doing jigsaw puzzles (up to 10,000 pieces). She always enjoys activities with her large family (“my grandma has 13 grandchildren”), such as playing Bosseln together. At the weekend, she likes to go out partying with her six-strong group of girls: “Schützenfeste, birthdays or private parties – dancing is a wonderful balance. But life itself also has its own rhythm that I move to!”
