sam® user workshop 2026 - Thinking ahead together
What happens when over 100 sam® users come together for two days to learn, discuss and create together? The sam® user workshop 2026 from 18th to March 19 at the ATLANTIC Hotel Münster showed exactly that – and was once again proof of what real community means.
The energy was already palpable the evening before: at the get-together in the Skybar of the ATLANTIC Hotel, the participants came together over drinks and good conversation – the perfect start to getting to know new faces and catching up with old acquaintances.
Day 1: secova, sam® and the questions of our time
CEO Jörg Klaas and COO Nicolas Lulay kicked things off together – with an open, personal insight into what is currently driving secova. An honest stocktaking and a clear look ahead: where do we stand and where is the journey heading?

Our UX designers Katja Lequen and Samira Wachsmann then took to the stage. Under the title “sam® at a glance: Highlights & Outlook”, they took the participants on a journey through a year of product development: from the most important updates and new features to what will soon be going live – concrete insights that show how much has happened at sam® in a year.
Then things got exciting from a legal and technological perspective: Matthias Klagge, lawyer at TIGGES Rechtsanwälte and certified data protection officer, highlighted the legal issues that accompany us in the course of the AI transformation in his presentation “AI and occupational health and safety – legal requirements, responsibility & liability”. A topic that is becoming increasingly relevant in the EHS world – presented in a practical and precise manner.
This was followed by Sandra Weber with a thought-provoking presentation: “When machines learn & People fail: The inconvenient truth about transformation.” Sandra has been supporting companies at the interface of business, technology and people for over 25 years – and made it clear that transformation can only succeed if people understand, support and implement it. An impulse that has an impact far beyond the workshop.
Paula Menninghaus and Raoul Lacalandra from Strong Partners with their interactive keynote speech “Strong in everyday working life”. What does holistic health really mean in everyday working life, beyond fruit baskets and standing desks? With an active finale that challenged body and mind in equal measure, the two brought the event to an energetic close.
In the evening at the gala dinner, artist Martin Mall delighted the audience with an impressive presentation – an unforgettable conclusion to a day full of inspiration that stayed with the participants for a long time.

Day 2: Dive deeper – create together
The second day was all about direct interaction. In two rounds – morning and afternoon – the participants immersed themselves in parallel workshop sessions and were able to choose for themselves where they wanted to focus.
- sam® grows with you – discover new possibilities: In discussions with our sales staff, participants were able to get to know various sam® modules better. The focus was particularly on the modules inspection and LMRA – and the interest was great. Anyone who experiences sam® in depth quickly discovers how much potential is still waiting to be discovered.
- Get more out of sam® – make the most of it: The Customer Success Management team was available as a central point of contact and supported participants in targeted sessions focusing on job profiles, risk assessments and hazardous substance management. Practical, solution-oriented and tailored precisely to the needs of users, so that they can really get the most out of sam®.
- help shape sam®: Your ideas, our development: In two consecutive workshop formats, sam® was examined from two perspectives. First, we analyzed current challenges in everyday working life together with our customers and identified specific problem areas – an open exchange at eye level that gave us deep insights into the daily user experience. In the sam® future workshop that followed, the focus was on the future: the participants actively helped to shape the features and developments they would like to see for the future of sam®. This feedback flows directly into our further planning – because sam® grows with its users.
- Operation Risk: Risk culture with Holger Schumacher: Risk culture is not an abstract topic. This session proved this impressively. Holger Schumacher and a dedicated group brought to life what a workshop looks like as part of the risk culture mission. Using a real-life use case, the participants learned about the M:RK Compass – a diagnostic tool that combines the unique expertise of Christoph Danker as a long-distance pilot, Holger Schumacher from the stunt business and Johannes Türk-König from the digitalization of occupational safety in a way that is unparalleled. The participants quickly got into action and recognized themselves in their own everyday situations – a strong conclusion to an intensive second day.

Two days full of inspiration, new connections and genuine encounters. For us, the workshop was more than just an event, it was a living community. Because that’s what sam® is all about: Closeness. Listening. Designing at eye level.
