Tim accelerates

As a DevOps Engineer in the secova team, Tim optimizes our IT infrastructure and accelerates development processes. In short, he provides the developers of our sam® EHS software with the right tools that are always up to date, thus keeping their backs free. The IT specialist for system integration spent almost ten years as a system administrator at the federal government and then wanted to do “something with modern technologies”. And that “in a company with pep”. Voilà, he seems to have found what he was looking for. He was initially taken aback by the many positive comments on the kununu review portal, for example. “But it’s true – the way we interact with each other is secova is actually very open, we have a lot of freedom here and you can just be who you are.” Tim, who enjoys helping others, also likes the openness to his ideas and the frequent direct acceptance of his proposed solutions: “That’s how you have to work these days!”

Tim, who grew up in East Frisia and now lives in Ibbenbüren on the edge of the Teutoburg Forest, is more of a quiet type in his private life. He used to spend more time programming or “gaming” as a hobby – today the computer at home is used more for information and relaxation. He can also switch off well in front of the other TV set, as he is a real fan of series (favorite series: “Doctor Who” with Matt Smith). But he also likes to get out into nature, especially for hiking or cycling tours. And then there’s another passion that has been neglected in the last two or three years: Traveling. The next destination is still open. But he has now arrived professionally with us at Team secova: “I felt well accepted here right from the start.”
