Max is a player
Max is impressed by the working atmosphere at secova: "Everyone here stands behind what they do! Everyone is keen to further optimize everything to do with sam® , is enthusiastic and enjoys their work."
Max likes to do his work in a playful way: “For me, programming is a puzzle with lots of possible solutions. The exciting thing is to find the best way to do it. And thus mastering the tasks and problems – comparable to solving puzzles!” His own career path began with a few semesters of law, but his affinity for computers (“it’s always been there!”) was ultimately stronger. Out of interest, he taught himself programming during his studies. This was followed by a trial internship, from which he then started his training as an IT specialist.
After several years in the full stack, he is now active as a backend developer in the secova team and is part of our backend core team (“we take care of the basic structure of sam®”). “Software development is a team sport – you’re always passing the ball around – and it thrives on really good communication. That’s how you get ahead. And that is definitely the case here at secova! Everyone wants to talk about their latest developments and show them to others.”
In his private life, Max is also dominated by playfulness. His favorite sport is tennis, which he actively plays as a team player in his club. He also does a lot of strength training (“up to four times a week”), but to compensate for this he likes to take a relaxed ride on his bike from time to time. Of course, the computer is also used privately, but not just for gaming. From writing websites and building apps to “smart home” topics, there is a large playing field for him as a programmer. But it doesn’t always have to be digital; as a board game fan (“I like the really big versions”), he also likes to play traditional analog games.
His particular passion, however, is traveling. The road trip fan recently bought a motorhome with his girlfriend and has already explored Norway. “To go on a trip around the world one day, that would still be a dream!” But he was also well received by us: “I knew beforehand what I wanted, how I would like my job to be. And I can only say: precision landing!”
