Greetings for 2023: Donations not only at Christmas time!

Every year – and all year round: this is secova ‘s motto when it comes to donations. This is because the software company, which operates in the field of occupational health and safety with its EHS solution system sam®, is committed to and financially supports various aid projects throughout the year. In its annual greetings for 2023, secova once again points out that its motto for the end of the year is: “Donations instead of postage!” Christmas mail is typically sent exclusively digitally, with the postage costs saved (plus many times more) going into the large donation pot. This supports activities such as the 2023 living Advent calendar: On the various calendar days, between three and six “Secovians” exchanged ideas in the mornings on two advent themes and then took matching photos (see right) (even Santa Claus and the Grinch stopped by once…). For each person taking part, secova donates 100 euros to organizations previously selected by the groups of the day themselves. By the end of the campaign, a total of 63 participants will have raised 6,300 euros.

Throughout the year, Team secova has already raised funds with its activities: whether in the active month of May, at the AI and Canoe Day, at both Gaming Legends and also with our LinkedIn campaign during the “A&A 2023”. Including the sponsorship of the solar project of the “Freie Schule Tecklenburger Land (FSTL)”, a total of 21,439.44 euros was raised for good causes. The 2023 donation recipients are:

• 2,579.88 euros to Rodde Igels
• 1,109.56 euros to emergency aid Ukraine
• 9,000 euros for FSTL solar project
• 645 euros to Haus Hannah
• 600 euros each to“Schulhühner“, Tierschutz Osnabrück und Umgebung, SKF Frauenhaus Münster, Herzenswünsche
• 500 euros each to Sea-Watch, Katzenhilfe Rheine, Viele schaffen mehr
• 445 euros to child protection association
• 400 euros each to Tafel (Caritas) Rheine, Hardcore Help, Kinderhospiz Mitteldeutschland, Rheginas Welt, Kinderschutzbund Rheine
• 325 euros to PETA
• 300 Euro to Save the Dogs
• 285 Euro to Justdiggit
• 250 euros to Alexianer Münster
• 200 euros to the Reptile Rescue Center,
• 150 euros each to NaturZoo Rheine and Katzenschutzbund Osnabrück
• 100 euros to Blumiger Landkreis Osnabrück

There were also two major donations totaling 250,000 euros for two special projects, which can be reported on in more detail in 2024.

Doing good is important to secova: “Sometimes it doesn’t take much. We would be delighted if as many people as possible shared this mindset and acted accordingly. Christmas should really be a celebration of love and peaceful, happy togetherness for everyone,” says the company.
