Two new AI training courses are now available in sam®
For more knowledge, safety, and compliance in dealing with artificial intelligence
How can I use AI training to teach important and necessary knowledge? Artificial intelligence (AI) has long been present in the workplace. And the EU AI Regulation imposes very specific requirements on companies. Since February 2, 2025, there has been an obligation for “AI Literacy”. This means having a basic understanding of what AI is, how it works, and how to use it responsibly.
As early as August 2, 2025, fines of up to €35 million or 7% of annual turnover may be imposed in certain cases. It is therefore all the more important to take action now – with structured, documented AI training courses. The software company secova is now making two new content packages available to all users of its EHS solution system sam® for precisely this purpose.
For Ongoing Awareness: KI-Wisskom’s Modular Solution
The training package from KI-Wisskom focuses in particular on the topics of “law, ethics, and technology” in the use of artificial intelligence. The training courses are role-based and therefore geared towards the day-to-day work of the employees being trained. This allows you to select what suits whom: to employees, managers, or administrators in companies, associations, universities, or research institutions. Each group has its own set of learning paths, consisting of four modules. A complete training course thus consists of four short, 15-minute chapters. Students can decide for themselves whether they want to complete the course in one go or proceed chapter by chapter (in which case, ideally, at intervals of 4–6 weeks). The special feature is that the training is not intended as a one-off mandatory training, but promotes continuous awareness of AI. They are designed to be repeated annually. Due to the very dynamic development in AI, continuous adaptation is required to regularly update employees’ knowledge levels.

For the necessary insight: the compact, unique solution offering from G DATA

The training package from G DATA generally provides the necessary insight into the AI jungle. In cooperation with this partner, a concise training course on the safe use of AI in everyday work is now available. Here, all employees complete the same training consisting of multiple chapters, including a quiz and final test. This package is perfect for companies looking for a one-off training solution – for quick compliance with the EU AI Regulation.

- Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence
- Legal framework & EU AI Regulation
- Examples of Use in a Work Context
- Data Protection, Copyright, Ethical Challenges
- Final Test to Assess Learning
Thus, the main differences between the two training packages are a) among the target audience and b) in the field of pedagogy. This is because KI-Wisskom’s training courses are specifically aimed at employees, managers, administrations and universities plus research institutions. There are a total of four training sessions per target group, which are held at staggered intervals (ideally every 4–6 weeks). In contrast, the G DATA AI training package is the same for all employees. This consists of a comprehensive training program and is rolled out once. However, one thing is certain in any case: Both packages meet the requirements of the EU AI Regulation (as it stands today).
