Nataliia has found her way
Our front-end developer Nataliia says: "At secova, people are always evolving too!"
Nataliia has already experienced a lot: the East Ukrainian from Luhansk had to flee twice from the bombs in her home town of Kharkiv. In March 2022, she returned to Münsterland via Poland, where she had already spent some time in 2016. She has been pursuing her goal of learning German intensively since her school days. While studying journalism, she discovered her true passion rather by chance during her Master’s thesis in 2019: she was tasked with creating a news portal, the technical part of which she was able to implement “virtually overnight” within just a few days. “I found the topic of software exciting right from the start, but it took me until 2021 to decide that programming was what I really wanted to do.”
By creating landing pages, she solidified her goal of working as a front-end developer. And that’s exactly what she’s doing now: In addition to internal projects, she is already involved in the further development of our system. “I’ve never woken up a day without wanting secova! You immediately feel like a member of the family here, you are addressed directly, you feel comfortable and accepted, everyone is open. We don’t just talk, we actually do what we talk about and actively implement it.”
Nataliia is optimistic about the future: “It’s exciting what happens in life. I’ve found my path now, but the path has also found me!” She used to have lots of interests and hobbies, wrote poetry and played the piano. Nowadays, she tends to ask herself what really makes her “happy”. Her answer: “Your family and friends and a job where you simply feel good.” Nataliia likes to cook, is a passionate reader and loves the theater and cinema. She also enjoys hiking, traveling and painting, and until a year ago, she was also intensively involved in psychology.
But the best way for her to really switch off and “come down” is by jogging: “It’s my way of meditating, a 10 km run has saved me many a time – I’m a new person afterwards!” Otherwise, she wants to remain open to new things and continue to deepen her programming skills professionally: “You can learn specialist knowledge, but you can’t learn humanity – you have to live it. And that is exactly what happens here in Team secova: we are all different, but with common goals and values, everything is communicated openly. The overall picture fits and gives me a warm feeling!”
