Katja loves the spirit

Katja is interested in what moves people. As “People & Culture Manager” at secova, the trained Reiss Motivation Profile® Master wants to find out what needs each individual has. So her job is anything but traditional HR work – not administrative, but creative. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Social Economics and then a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, she realized that she wanted to move to a “family” company with an appreciative corporate culture. “And that’s when I met secova. Everyone immediately took me in as if I had always been here! It felt really good and authentic right from the start!” Day in, day out, she senses the esteem in which everyone is held; everyone’s opinion counts. Maintaining and even expanding this corporate culture, presenting it as typical of secova both internally and externally, is something she now works on every day. Accordingly, she is also looking for “new colleagues instead of employees” for the company. With many measures in the background, she also wants to further develop “New Work” to suit everyone in the secova team. The aim is to work together even better and contribute to the well-being of each individual for the joint success of the company!

Katja liebt ihre Arbeit sehr. Nevertheless, she makes sure she finds the right balance in her free time and tries to pursue her passions as often as possible. Dazu zählt das Backpacking-Reisen, am liebsten sehr flexibel und frei. She appreciates not having to book anything in advance (apart from arrival and departure), living for the day and immersing herself in the culture on site. Her next trip is a “surf yoga retreat”. “I’ve always loved the sea and I’m a water rat!” Slowing down, clearing her head, being with herself, “simply becoming lighter, more relaxed and happier” – these are her inner goals. But in addition to the relaxation, she also loves the tension and the maximum physical exertion. She does this best with her great love, ninja sports. The aim is to master a course with various obstacles (also known as “stages”) – this requires strength, coordination and good body control. “For me, ninja means being allowed to have fun like a child on a big playground. I also appreciate this ninja spirit. In that respect, ninja sport and secova are very similar – it’s like a second family!”
