secova 2023: Into the new year with plenty of tailwind.

Aren’t we at secova 2023 the only ones who can look forward with optimism? The war in Ukraine, the energy crisis, climate change, and high inflation continue to impose general and personal burdens. After all, the coronavirus pandemic and associated restrictions are becoming less severe – the worst seems to be behind us. These challenges clearly demonstrate that they require a willingness to adapt to changing conditions, to develop appropriate solutions, and to think innovatively. At secova, we have always been committed to this openness in thought and action.

With our sam® solution system, we make daily work for companies easier. With its various functional modules, the EHS software provides the ideal tool for meeting the numerous tasks and obligations in occupational safety, health, and environmental protection. The browser-based system can be accessed anytime and almost anywhere, whether stationary or mobile, in the office, at home, or on-site (both internally or externally). Whether it’s a training session on the PC, an inspection in the production hall, or a risk assessment directly at the machine – all information is available online, and all data is documented in an audit-proof manner.

The past year has been extremely successful for secova. We not only achieved our goals – as determined at the beginning of the year in a multi-day strategy meeting by all our colleagues – but we have clearly exceeded them. Numerous tickets were answered, feature requests were implemented, and processes were further optimized in various areas. The qualification matrix, newly introduced at the end of 2021, has now been rolled out and is available as an additional functional module. It serves as the perfect partner for the sam® EHS basic system for trainings: knowledge and skills of all employees at a glance!

Secova has entered into a cooperation partnership with ISOPA/ALIPA (trade associations of European manufacturers of aromatic diisocyanates and polyols, as well as aliphatic isocyanates and polysocyanates) in accordance with the REACH regulation on the handling of diisocyanates, which will apply across Europe starting in August 2023. Training is mandatory before industrial or commercial use with a diisocyanate content of 0.1% or more. The associations provide all current and precise information on this subject, which can be purchased individually and directly. For sam® users, however, there is now an even more user-friendly option: thanks to the agreed cooperation, the entire catalog of topics is now available in their system.

However, our numerous new colleagues, who are now strengthening the secova team in a wide variety of areas, are providing plenty of tailwind and a further strong push forward. In the coming years, we want to continue to grow in terms of men’s and women’s power, with plenty of exciting jobs waiting for the right people. Adequate workspace is already available: At the beginning of December 2022, we officially inaugurated the second floor of our headquarters, the Environ building in Rheine. Versatile, creatively designed workspaces are available there for our idea of collaborative “New Work” – in the “typically secova” somewhat different way. Even if we were identified as a “hidden champion” in 2022, we don’t have to hide in these rooms…

At the end of 2022, we at secova once again sent out a team video instead of annual greetings by post and used the money saved to increase our donation pot. We supported a total of 19 charitable organizations last year, thanks in part to community campaigns such as our Active month June or the secova Advent calendar. Incidentally, the suggestions for the respective recipients all come from secova employees themselves. “Together Being there is everything!” was also the motto for our participation in the AOK company run and the HoVa company cup (indoor soccer). The strong cohesion within the secova team and the high level of mutual appreciation certainly contribute to the fact that we have once again received the “Top Company” award as one of the most popular employers for 2023.

However, we are particularly pleased that we can finally get back into personal contact with our customers (almost) without restrictions. So after a two-year break, our 11th sam® user workshop can take place this year in Hamburg (March 21 + 22). However: It is already fully booked, all 110 places are taken! However, a user workshop is also firmly planned for 2024 – we will announce the location and time in good time. Our two customer interviews with the Westfalen Group and Schuh Mücke show how other companies manage to master their numerous tasks and duties more easily with sam®.

Our participation in A+A 2023 – the world’s most important trade fair for occupational health and safety, which will take place from October 24-27 in the exhibition halls in Düsseldorf – has also been confirmed. As at “Arbeitsschutz Aktuell 2022” in Stuttgart, interested parties can experience sam® and its various functional modules live at our stand. And experience for yourself how easy this software is to use – because it’s as simple as using an ATM. There are already over 3 million convinced users of our holistic EHS solution system.
