Holger is a team player
Holger had "a good feeling about secova right from the start. The mutual appreciation, the interaction with each other - the overall picture was, and still is, just right for me!"
For Holger, “the star is the team: you have to function as a team as a whole and make decisions together, then successful agile working is possible.” Born in Nordhorn, at secova active as a product owner, is a strong advocate of team formation in the areas of development and product management around our EHS solution system sam®“Team building clearly contributes to focus. This allows everyone to develop their vision and love in a more targeted way without having to jump around too much. Everything becomes clearer and more transparent for you and you can see what’s coming up.”
The trained banker and computer science graduate found his way to product management (PM) through his work as a developer: “PM decides what to do and when, while development decides how to do it.” His goal is to help ensure that sam® continues to be different, colorful, even “sexy” and not boring: “It’s a continuous process!” Holger liked the fact that he was involved from day one in the team secova and was asked for his input. “The togetherness, the mindfulness, but also especially the emotionality here inspire me. There is a high level of sensitivity for employees and our shared values. Let’s see what castles in the air we can build together…”
Holger is also clearly a team player in his private life. His favorite team? Clearly his own family with his wife and two daughters, to whom he devotes as much time as possible! But Holger is also a big soccer fan, his heart clearly beats black and yellow. He is an active member of BVB and the fan club and goes to the stadium from time to time to cheer on “his” Borussia Dortmund team. He used to enjoy chasing the leather himself, but due to injury and his job, he has since switched to cycling. Or he goes swimming with his girls.
Holger is also a big music fan, plays guitar himself and – of course, team player – even had his own band. In his younger years, he also used to DJ himself. These days, however, most of the action is provided by “my two action-packed children”. Slightly quieter leisure activities are then generally house and garden, meeting friends (preferably for board game evenings) or going to the movies. But he was once really good at a typical Nordhorn “specialty”: “That’s ‘Kloatscheeten’ – similar to Boßeln, a round disc, the Kloat, is rolled as far as possible along the streets. Up to 550 active people used to meet on Sundays on a specially built sports facility – a great family event, young and old together!”
