What mandatory training must employers provide?
Mandatory instructions serve to inform your employees about hazards, protective measures and safe behavior in the workplace. These instructions are legally binding.
The most important of these include:
- General occupational health and safety instructions in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (§12 ArbSchG)
- Safety instructions in accordance with DGUV regulation 1
- Hazardous substance instructions in accordance with the GefStoffV
- First aid and fire safety instructions
- Machine and work equipment instructions
- Hygiene instructions, e.g. in care or catering
- Specific training in the event of increased risk (e.g. construction, laboratory)
- Data protection and IT security training
