Daniel is a data collector

Daniel has long been known internally as “Data Daniel”. And for good reason. Its task is to evaluate as much of the data relevant to secova and sam® as possible and bring it together in one place. The key questions: “How do we ensure that we receive the important information? And what works really well?” The challenge is to “make everything measurable” (e.g. office calls, customer conversations, etc.) in order to create a corresponding database. Daniel is convinced: “If you have a sensible corporate culture (like ours), you can really only learn from data analysis – as a company and as a person!”

Born in the Rhineland, he first completed a dual degree in business administration and then a Master’s degree in marketing & Sales. Initially focusing on management consultancy, consulting and CRM, his focus then shifted increasingly towards data topics. The aim is to collect and evaluate relevant information (such as customer satisfaction) in such a way that data-based decisions can be made. What he particularly appreciates about his work in the secova team is the high degree of self-determination. “Not only in my department ‘Customer Data & Interaction’ do we first ask ourselves: What do we need, what feels good? Only then does the question of cost come up – in my opinion, that generates the most added value!”

Daniel also appreciates secova’s human and family-friendly approach, especially as he is a real family man in his private life. In addition to his wife and daughter, this also includes his dog “Abe”. They spend a lot of time together, not just in the newly renovated house (“next comes the garden!”). His passion is still soccer – as a goalkeeper, he even made it to the district team in his younger years. Then he broke his ankle, and since then he has tended to play “quite relaxed, for example in old men’s friendly matches. I particularly appreciate the sociability in the team!” But he also finds it in his circle of friends and especially in his bowling club (“we’ve known each other for 25 years”). He lived and studied in South Africa for a while, far away from home – and would like to go back there again. Until then, the self-confessed “series junkie” is more likely to be off to other worlds with “Games of Thrones” or “Friends” episodes…
